• Marketing Designer and Fundraiser

Simon is currently in his 6th semester of business administration at LMU and has already gained practical experience in marketing, finance, investment banking and strategy consulting.

Simon and Florian have known each other since childhood, which is how Simon became aware of FoB. Since Simon was already able to gain a lot of experience in working with students and children during his time at the technical high school through various internships in primary schools, day care centre and kindergartens, it was no question for him to support Florian in his mission to make education more accessible and to help young students on their professional path.

With his help, Simon would like to acquire more financial support for Friends of Botriver in order to achieve the long-term goal of international exchange programs, the establishment of a learning centre and the expansion of the mentoring program.

  • Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role within Friends of Botriver.

I'm Simon, a 22-year-old currently completing my bachelor's in business administration at LMU in Munich. At Friends of Botriver, my role encompasses both operational tasks and strategic planning. I actively contribute to shaping how we approach our donors and leverage marketing strategies to bolster our mission and vision. My academic background in business dovetails seamlessly with our organizational goals, and I'm passionate about making a meaningful difference within the Botriver community.

What is your impact as a volunteer on the Botriver community?

My influence in the Botriver community is rooted in our marketing initiatives and strategic goal-setting. Through these efforts, we're not only enhancing our donation inflow but also amplifying our public visibility. The direct result is our ability to fund new projects that help all school-going children. By doing so, we're striving to enhance their learning experiences and pave a smoother academic path for them.

What do you enjoy the most about volunteering at FoB?

What I truly cherish about volunteering at FoB is the dynamism of our team. We're not just diverse; we're also a young team, spread across the globe. Despite our geographical differences, our collective agility ensures that our projects progress seamlessly. A special shoutout to Florian, whose contributions have been instrumental. Working with such a spirited group makes the entire experience not just fulfilling, but also immensely enjoyable.
