• Mentor

Phillip studied together with Florian at the DHBW Villingen-Schwenningen. Before Phillip began his studies, he completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk in a medium-sized, owner-managed industrial company. Through his studies and contact with Florian, he became aware of the Friends of Botriver project, which Florian is pushing forward with full vigour and motivation.

Phillip is currently working for his former employer again. He works in sales and is responsible for various customers from different industries and also supports the management with decision-making measures and documents.

The incentive for Phillip to dedicate himself to the project is to support the mentees in word and deed and to motivate and encourage them in their individual situations.

  • Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role within Friends of Botriver.

Hi, my name is Phillip. I am 25 years old and work as a sales manager in a medium-sized, family-owned industrial company near Cologne. Since joining the program in March of this year, I support my mentee Danelle in preparing for her career start in the best possible way.

What do you enjoy the most about volunteering at FoB?

What I enjoy the most is the exchange between the mentees and the mentors. It is very interesting to talk about problems , joys and ways of thinking and to discuss solutions together. I also really like the fact that the mentoring program is mainly made up of young mentors.

Why do you think the mentorship program is beneficial?

Everyone in the mentoring program shows understanding for each other. As a result, the work is not a one-way street and both sides benefit from each other’s efforts! In addition, the mentoring support provided by Florian is excellent. He puts a lot of effort into the program and helps wherever he can.
