• Mentor

Felix has been active as a mentor for our mentees at Friends of Botriver since the summer of 2022. He has already completed a commercial apprenticeship and a dual bachelor's degree in business administration. In addition, Felix will start a Master's degree in the UK in autumn 2023.

Through these various academic experiences, Felix can support our mentees especially around the topics of educational opportunities, application processes and entering professional life. In his spare time, Felix is an avid sportsman. He played football actively in a club for about 20 years, which enables him to teach our mentees valuable soft skills such as teamwork and communication.

  • Tell us a little about yourself and your role within Friends of Botriver.

I'm Felix, 25 years old, and I became a mentor at FoB last summer after a conversation with Florian during our time at university.

What do you enjoy the most about volunteering at Friends of Botriver?

Seeing the positive change and the difference we bring to young students' educational experiences fills me with a profound sense of fulfillment, driving my motivation to continue our journey.

Why do you think the mentorship program is beneficial?

Volunteering as a mentor is a two-way street. On one hand, we can leverage our previous experiences to provide valuable guidance and support to our mentees, benefiting them greatly. On the other hand, we also gain valuable insights from them, particularly regarding their culture and perspectives on the world.
